Bringing Tavistock's Heritage to Life

A World Heritage Site

Tavistock is the eastern gateway to the mining heritage of Devon and Cornwall, built upon the wealth of Tavistock Abbey and the Dukes of Bedford.

Tavistock's rich history stretches back over 1000 years, featuring medieval monks, Sir Francis Drake and a nineteenth-century metamorphosis.

World Heritage Site
