Today is a great day for Tavistock Heritage Trust.......

Work started today on the repair of Betsy Grimbal's Tower.

The team from Tavistock Town Council were in site this morning to start the work.

This is a significant beginning to the Rediscovering Tavistock Abbey project.

The hope is that eventually the tower, which was the western gateway of the Abbey and probably built in the 15th century, can be made accesible for public viewing.
